In Switzerland, a country renowned for its developed tourism industry, whether in large cities, small towns, or mountainous areas by the water, there are resorts almost everywhere. Consequently, some places aim to go a step further, catering not only to adults but also to parents with young children. From facilities to tour content, these destinations strive to meet the characteristics and needs of vacationing with children.

Grächen is a fairy tale destination certified as a ‘family resort,’ offering various facilities and services tailored to vacationers who are parents. This includes providing children’s amenities and care services, featuring a children’s hotel, playground, and a swimming pool.

Situated on vast terraces at an altitude of 1620 meters, Grächen overlooks the valley of the Matter Vispa, towering far above the Zermatt valley. This small mountain village not only serves as a tourism destination reliant on natural beauty but also scores points with numerous recreational and leisure facilities. Particularly enticing are the playground facilities that captivate children: from a children’s restaurant to an Indian fortress and entertaining shows with well-trained actors and clowns. In Grächen, children magically become princes and princesses, while their parents can indulge in a relaxed time in royal style.

During the summer, family visitors can camp in the Indian Village at Hannigalp, featuring authentic teepees furnished with furniture, tree stumps, and fireplaces. This provides a profound experience of the charm of the great prairie, and children can immerse themselves in the joy of exploring the American West in its primitive state. In the unique Ravensburger Spieleweg play path, families can walk and play simultaneously, making the experience both enjoyable and exciting. In the adventure park ‘Robi’s Happy Park,’ visitors can enjoy unparalleled moments of joy. The park features a zoo, haunted house, giant slides, fairy-tale-themed trails, and more, turning all dreams of adventure into reality for both adults and children.

Grächen’s winter is also a paradise for family vacations. Visitors can frolic and play in the largest and most exciting family park in Switzerland, SiSu Family Park. With three levels covering an area of over 50,000 square meters, the park hosts thrilling games that make everyone’s hearts race. The family park includes four magical carpets, a snow carousel, a suspended glider, and a snow tubing slide, along with a cinema and family hotels. All of these are enough to provide learners with endless satisfaction and joy in learning to ski. The skiing area has a daytime nursery, where professional caregivers can allow parents to confidently leave their children.
